Although our sighting rate is high, sightings of wildlife are not guaranteed.
Cancellations made up to 24 hours before will be refunded.

How long do we stay inside Benagil Cave, and can I disembark or
swim there?
Each vessel is allowed a maximum of 3 minutes inside Benagil Cave, ensuring a safe and balanced experience for all boats.
In accordance with the Edital 019/2024 – Instruções de Navegação, in force since August, 2024, disembarking, walking, or swimming inside Benagil Cave is strictly prohibited. These measures help preserve the cave and ensure a safe experience for all visitors.
What is the best time of day to go?
Early morning generally offers the calmest sea conditions and lesser wind.
Afternoons can also be pleasant, although wind conditions are often stronger.
Is this area protected or environmentally regulated?
Yes.
The route includes the Marine Natural Park of the Algarve Reef, as well as the Algarve Geopark Algarvensi, a UNESCO-recognized geological heritage area.
These protections ensure responsible and sustainable navigation.
Can I bring food, drinks, or smoke on board?
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Alcohol, glass bottles, and smoking are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
What should I bring?
We recommend a light windproof jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and comfortable clothing.
Is the tour suitable for everyone?
Yes, with some considerations:
Children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum age: 4 years).
Guests must be able to board the vessel and remain seated during the journey.
Not recommended for pregnant women or guests with severe back or mobility issues.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Dolphins may occasionally be spotted on the coast, as we navigate through their natural habitat. However, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
